Hi hon! Coquette is a really pale nude with very slight warm pink undertones. It is a gorgeous color, but there are a lot of other lipsticks that come very close.
Lime Crime “Coquette” - $16
ELF Essential Lipstick “Nostalgic” - $1
This is a very creamy lipstick that has good pigment but is not as opaque as Coquette. Still, the color is very similar. Cancel out the pigment of your lips with a bit of foundation before applying and it will look perfect!
Revlon Colorburst Lipstick “Soft Nude” - xx
This line of lipsticks has been *cry* discontinued this year, so you won’t be able to find it in stores, unless they have a clearance section or something. But you can still find it online on various sites… (allcosmeticswholesale.com, amazon & ebay) This is very similary to ELF’s Nostalgic lipstick in that it is creamier and just slightly less opaque than Coquette, but the color is very close!
MAC “Myth” - $14
I personally think that MAC “Myth” lipstick looks similar to Coquette. Both are very pale and opaque, and if you’re going to shell out the money anyway, you might as well get this MAC staple.
Hopefully this helps you! Waiting for colors to come in stock can be agonizing, I feel your pain. Good luck!
Hello! There are a couple of types of liner that would work well for a smoked-out, winged-out, cat-eye type of eye! This is one of my favorite looks to rock at work, because it takes almost no time to do when I’m getting ready, and looks fantastic!
Your first option is to use a creamy pencil. Kohl pencils tend to work really well, as do “gel-like” pencils, because they are very easy to blend, but still set in place so they won’t smear down your face during the day. You will also need to have a separate brush to smudge the liner outwards, but if you don’t have one handy a Q-tip works just as well!
My recommendations for these would be:
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencils - $19 - Found Here
These are super creamy, and set really well after applying a couple layers.
Milani Liquid Eye Eyeliner Pencil - $6 - Found Here
Formerly known as “Liquif’eye”, this is my holy grail black eyeliner pencil from the drugstore, and the black shade is actually a great dupe for Urban Decay’s “Perversion” pencil, the blackest black ever!
You could also use a gel eyeliner to create that type of eye! Gel eyeliner is very creamy and opaque, and smudges to sultry perfection. My favorite:
Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner - $6 - Found Here
This liner is pigmented, easy to apply, comes with a brush, and is just as good quality as any gel liner four times the price. You will need a different kind of brush to smoke it out on your eyes, but it’s nice that it comes with a proper tool!
